I used to be the same way. I would shift my atention from guru to guru always tring to implement what they were teaching, yet it seemed i was always a few steps be hind the trends. Eventually I started to lose hope that I would ever figure it out and I started to fear that a great marketing strategy would always remain the elusive lepercon. It was when I was in my darkest moments that my mind was finally open and figured out what was holding me back.

So what is the secret? 

Well to answer that we need to do some digging into the life of an entrepreneur. Many begin their journey in the most humble of circumstances, they have been through the worst of it and are inspired by the possibilities of their future. They learn to live by the age-old maxim that “if it’s to be, it’s up to me”, this has served them well thus far. They have created a profitable business and rich lifestyle.

Some have learned that “Teamwork makes the Dreamwork”  and although they give lip service to that idea, they have unevenly applied it throughout their organizations, they still have the underlying identity of a warrior that is action-oriented and has a purely “go go go mentality.” They have not fully bought into the philosophy and began viewing their business as needing to take upon a life of its own. They are still more confident in their ability to attract new clients, make more sales and manage time than they BELIEVE can be done if they invested into a solid and consistently applied marketing plan.

All too often business owners lie in wait hoping for the “right” marketing strategy to “speak to them” before they are willing to invest. They mistakenly believe that this will be the “Holy Grail” that will fix all their problems which are, Client Acquisition, Income, Time management, Etc.

So what is holding them back? What will it take for them to see the value in investing in a marketing strategy that will SUPERSIZE their business? I believe it starts by taking it from their head to their heart.

It comes down to making a decision to change from a fear of loss mentality and begin to live in faith that their purpose is big enough to fill the earth.

You might be thinking, “I’m not living in fear, I just built this great company. What would I be afraid of?” Hear me out.

There are two diametrically opposed feelings towards every decision we make, you are either acting in fear or faith. 

First, let’s address what acting in fear looks like and where it leads.

When you are making a decision, are you still seeking to avoid pain, loss, commitment, uncertainty, Etc? Often this will be masked by an outward statement like “it’s just not the right time” or “ I don’t have the time to allocate to that right now.” Whatever the excuse is it leads to a destruction of your belief in yourself and the goals that you have set. Every time you are invited to take a step forward and you deny your instinctive YES feeling, you are acting in fear. This stops the flow of money in your life and business and you are left wondering why you are stuck. It often leads to increased anxiety, depression, lack of focus, and decreased intensity of effort. 

To get to the next level, you have to suspend ALL disbelief and leap faithfully into the unknown, fully trusting those that have been where you have yet to go.

So what does acting in faith look like? Put simply, faith is the act of creation! In opposition, fear which only seeks to destroy one’s belief and production, faith is the action of putting our money where our mouth is. It’s not just sharing your vision of the future with those around you but it is also finding and applying the capital to make the vision come to pass. I have often been asked, at what point do you stop dumping money into your vision? I responded with the story of Nike, they were bankrupt and had a federal agent combing through their office the day before they took their company public and they all became “instant billionaires.” Now not to be misunderstood, I am not saying that you should go bankrupt in pursuit but rather do you know that your purpose will fill the earth? If you do then you know that you must keep going and keep leveling up until you make it and that no price is too much to make your dreams come true.

When you act in faith it leads to feelings of excitement not anxiety, gratitude not depression, fulfillment not hopelessness, creation rather than destruction. 

So I ask you? How are you making decisions in your family, business, finances, fitness, fun, Etc.? Are you making them out of fear or faith? Are you ready to suspend all your disbelief and hire a coach to assist you in going all into a marketing strategy that will enable you to achieve the IIT lifestyle (Impact, Income, & Time Freedom) you are working so hard for?
